We serve corporate brands, event producers, city governments, artists, and festivals looking for a production partner who gets it.

We’re expanding our contractor roster and looking for experienced freelance audiovisual techs who thrive in live environments. If you’re the kind of person who already knows how to move before and after the doors open, we want to work with you. We’re building a list of reliable, talented techs for consistent gig-based opportunities.

What You’ll Do (depends on the gig)
As a freelance AV Tech with RhythmHaus Live, you’ll support a wide range of live events including conferences, concerts, pop-ups, and brand activations. Your responsibilities may include:

• Set up, operate, and strike AV gear: LED walls, projectors, cameras, switchers, etc.

• Operate video switchers, graphics systems, and playback tools

• Assist with audio setup and troubleshooting (FOH/BOH)

• Collaborate with show callers, producers, and crew for smooth execution

• Follow event timelines, showflows, and production cues accurately

Qualifications
Required:

• High School Diploma required. Associate’s degree is preferred.

• Experience (1+ years) in live event production (corporate AV, concerts, festivals, etc.)

• Ability to commute to Detroit, MI

• Familiarity with industry-standard gear (Audio consoles, video switchers, cameras, etc )

• Quick problem-solver and cool under pressure

• Great communicator who works well with others

• 18+ with reliable transportation and availability to travel

• Able to lift 50+ lbs and be on your feet for extended periods

• Candidate must live in Southeast Michigan

• Certifications are nice to have, but are not required
